元音老人 : 佛性不在別處，就是現在我們一念斷處的離念靈知。當妄念都放下，一點不起的時候，也不是沒有知覺，還是了了分明。這了了分明的靈知，就是我們的佛性。 
識取這能生起知饑、知寒的「靈知」，就是我人的佛性，只要綿密保護它，不粘物、情，知而無知，無知而知，就證道了。
"The moment your ego dissolves, the moment there isn't any separation from other creatures and the environment, the moment you reach the point of singularity /  non-duality and full awareness, that is the moment you are in touch with the Buddha nature, and the moment you are enlightened.
